  1. To provide and adhere to all personal care tasks outlined in the service user support plan.
  2. To ensure that all the service users rights and choices are respected and upheld.
  3. To ensure there is regular communication with Amelia staff and other health care professionals.
  4. To ensure that all Amelia's policies and procedures are adhered to.
  5. To ensure Amelia office are informed of any changes with our service users.
  6. To attend training, supervision, appraisals or staff meetings as required.
  7. To adhere to Amelia Homecare's dress code and ensure suitable attire is worn during working hours.
  8. To build good relationships with the service users but maintain professional boundaries.
  9. To maintain good communication with family members or other care/support workers, caring for the service user.
  10. To cook and provide appropriate nutritious meals as outlined in the service user support plan.
  11. To ensure that all dietary and religious needs and choices are upheld.
  12. To ensure a safe home environment and always encourage the service users rights and choices.
  13. To work well as a team member.
  14. To undertake any domestic duties outlined in the service user support plan.
  15. To assist with any shopping or purchasing other provisions to meet the service users requirements.
  16. Ensure the service user is never at risk whilst providing care/support within the service users home.
  17. Be willing to take on other job duties as specified the line manager in order to meet the service users requirements.
  18. Must be willing to travel to different service users homes using your preferred form of transport.
  19. Must be willing to adapt to the different environments with each individual service user.

Essential skills:

Qualifications -  

  • Willing to undertake Induction training programme.  

Experience -

  • To have good knowledge and understanding of health and social care.

Skills and qualities -

  • Have a caring nature.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Good use of own initiative.
  • Must be able to work as a team.
  • Good planning skills and be able to adapt to changes.
  • To adhere to all policies and procedures.
  • Be able to work under pressure in an emergency situation and respond appropriately.
